1971 Kellogg’s

Set Type: Primary
Card Dimensions: 2¼” x 3½”
Additional Information: Distributed in various brands of Kellogg’s breakfast cereal. According to SCD’s 2011 Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards, this is the scarcest and most valuable of the Kellogg’s issues throughout the ’70s and ’80s. The set contains a large number of errors and corrections, mostly in regards to the statistics on the back of the card, as epitomized by Selma’s card. The Standard Catalog also states “cards can be found with and without the 1970 date before the ‘Xograph’ copyright line on the back; though there is no difference in value.”
